Outstanding Male and Female Athletes from Member Schools.  This award is made possible through their commitment to provide recognition of our section athletes.
Each conference is invited to submit the names of one deserving boy and girl athlete for consideration by the HSSA scholarship committee.  Because the size of San Diego City Schools and North County conferences they will be allowed to submit 2 boys and 2 girls.  The protocol for solicitation of qualified candidates and the selection of conference nominees are a conference decision.
Scholarship awards will be announced at the annual Scholar-Athlete recognition breakfast where each member schools in each conference recognizes 1 female and 1 male as their scholar-athlete of the year.  Remember, these are two different recognitions however, an athlete could be nominated for both.
